So yesterday I made a trip out to Alviso and Drawbridge, both of which have more info if you click the links (the writer of this website is hilarious if you've had the pleasure of spending a lot of time in San Jose). I biked from my apartment in downtown all the way down the Guadalupe River to Alviso, then walked down the (active!) train tracks to Drawbridge. I left at 10:30 and arrived home at 3:30 without stopping for a break.

Normally I don't actually do anything in honor of spring break, and this year I didn't plan to, but I ended up having lots of fun adventures on this specific week anyway!
It included: learning to hula hoop, beeerr at the beach, a bassnectar show, a hip-hop show at the MACLA, three nights spent in motels (smoking rooms, of course...), flying dinosaur kites, the santa cruz mystery spot, golden gate park, and getting lost in the ghetto late at night.
This is somewhat of an embarassing video of me drunken hooping with street musicians in downtown Santa Cruz:
Hey...it was really hard to hoop in that skirt, and it was my first week!
